The practical overview
Argan is a self-pay mobile physical therapy practice. I come to a suitable location, bring portable equipment for the planned visit, and build the evaluation around the activities and environment that matter to you.
You do not need a home gym. You do need a safe, reasonably private space for the visit. If your location, symptoms, or goals call for another setting or another clinician, I will say so directly.
Payment and scheduling
Know the financial and booking details first.
Is Argan Physiotherapy self-pay?
Yes. All new patients begin as self-pay patients, and Argan does not bill health insurance for new care. Payment is due at the time of service.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Argan accepts HSA and FSA cards. Eligibility and documentation rules belong to your plan, so confirm questions about reimbursement or substantiation with the plan administrator.
Can I receive a superbill?
A superbill may be provided on request. It is documentation of the service; it is not a promise that an insurer will reimburse you. Check your out-of-network benefits and submission requirements directly with your plan.
How do I book my first visit?
Use the online booking page to see current openings and book directly. If you want to confirm location, timing, or fit first, call 817-330-9405.
How mobile care works
The visit happens where the problem happens.
A home visit can reveal the chair, stairs, walking route, bed, workstation, exercise setup, or equipment that is difficult—details that are easy to miss in a clinic.
Bring the exam to you
I bring portable equipment selected for the planned visit and adapt the assessment to the space.
Use the real environment
We can inspect the actual transfer, stair, reach, lift, walking surface, or home exercise setup.
Keep privacy and safety
The location must be appropriate for a focused healthcare visit, with enough room and privacy for the planned care.
Involve support when useful
A family member or caregiver can participate when you want that support and it helps the plan.
Coordinate beyond the home
With consent, I can communicate with a surgeon, referring clinician, or another member of the care team.
Refer when needed
If the examination points toward medical review, imaging, another discipline, or emergency care, I explain that next step.
Locations and setup
Southlake and Colleyville are the primary service areas.
What does mobile physical therapy mean?
It means physical therapy comes to a suitable home, office, gym, or another agreed place where the visit can happen safely and with privacy. You usually do not need a home gym. I bring portable equipment for the planned visit.
Where does Argan routinely travel?
Southlake and Colleyville are the primary service areas. Visits in nearby DFW communities may be available based on travel time, scheduling, the type of care requested, and pricing. Review the service area details or contact Argan for a specific answer.
What do I need for a home visit?
A clear, safe space is usually enough. Stairs, a workstation, home equipment, or another useful feature can be part of the visit when appropriate. Please secure pets if they could interrupt or create a fall risk.
Can a visit happen at my office or gym?
Sometimes. The location needs appropriate permission, safety, privacy, and enough space for the planned visit. Confirm the setting before booking so travel and access can be reviewed.
Your first visit
Leave knowing what I found and what happens next.
What happens at the first visit?
I review your history and goals, screen for findings that need another level of care, examine the most relevant movement and function, and explain what I see in plain language. You leave with practical next steps and a recommended plan that can change as your response becomes clearer.
How long are visits?
Visit length and treatment are matched to what you need that day. Your history, examination, goals, and response help decide how the time is used. If you need a specific time window, call before booking.
What should I wear or have ready?
Wear clothing that allows the relevant area and movement to be assessed comfortably. Have current medication information, surgical instructions, imaging reports, assistive devices, and questions available when they are relevant. You do not need to reorganize the whole home.
Will I receive exercises at the first visit?
Often, but not automatically. The first visit may produce an exercise, activity adjustment, safety plan, referral, or a combination. I prefer a small plan connected to the findings over a long generic list.
Referrals, imaging, and care coordination
An evaluation can often begin before every test is complete.
Do I need a referral before I book?
An evaluation can generally begin without a referral. Texas permits qualified physical therapists who meet the law and rule conditions to treat without a referral for limited consecutive-business-day periods. Qualification and the allowed window vary, and required disclosures and professional-liability coverage apply. Continued care or your specific situation may require a referral or medical coordination.1
Do I need an MRI or X-ray first?
Not automatically. Imaging is useful when it can answer a management-changing question, such as suspected fracture, serious pathology, progressive neurologic findings, surgical planning, or another specific concern. I will explain when the examination points toward imaging or medical review.
Can joint replacement rehabilitation happen at home?
For many people recovering from an uncomplicated hip or knee replacement, rehabilitation can take place at home when medical status and the surgeon’s instructions support it. The first visit looks at walking, transfers, fall risk, symptoms, precautions, and the space where you move.
Can Argan coordinate with my surgeon or another provider?
Yes. With your consent, I can speak with referring clinicians or members of your care team when coordination supports your care. Referring clinicians can call 817-330-9405 to confirm the referral and document-sharing process.
What if physical therapy is not the right next step?
I will tell you directly. If another professional, medical review, imaging, or a different service appears to fit better, I will explain the concern and the next step. No treatment plan can promise a specific result.
