What happens during a home visit?
Your first visit starts with what’s bothering you and what you’d like to do again. Your physical therapist examines the area, checks your strength and movement, and explains what the findings mean.
You’ll work on exercises chosen for your needs and learn what to practice between appointments. There’s time to ask questions about treatment and how it relates to your goals.

No. Your physical therapist brings a treatment table and portable equipment when needed. Your own exercise equipment can also be part of the visit.
Getting back to your usual activities
Your goals help shape care from the start. If you want to return to tennis, for example, treatment needs to work toward the movements you’ll use on the court—not just comfortable movement at home.
At follow-up visits, your physical therapist reviews what’s improving and what still bothers you. The exercises and level of challenge change with your progress.
